A reference to Jenő Rejtő’s picaresque novel «A 14 karátos autó» (The 14-Karat Car) — a chaotic adventure around a car made of pure gold. Rejtő, born Jenő Reich in Budapest in 1905, wrote his absurdist novels at breakneck speed, usually to pay off debts.

He died in 1943, at only 37. His novels are still read and loved in Hungary today.

AddressIn front of the Pesti Magyar Színház, Hevesi Sándor tér, near Rejtő Jenő utca.
