Vuk the Fox comes from the Hungarian animated film of the same name from 1981, one of the most beloved animated productions in Hungarian film history. The film tells the story of a young fox who learns to survive after losing his family.

Kolodko quotes a specific scene from the film: after a fall, the little fox clings desperately to a branch. Here he hangs from a bomb instead, embedded in the rock – a reference whose exact meaning Kolodko has never explained.

The statue sits behind the Rudas Baths, on a rock above the Danube, near the staircase leading up to Gellért Hill – whoever knows what they're looking for will find it without much trouble.

AddressSzent Gellért rakpart (rock behind the Rudas Baths, near the steps up to Gellért Hill).
