Master Yoda from Star Wars meditates on the metal railing of the M4 metro station Szent Gellért tér, right next to the escalator in the upper part of the station.

When the statue appeared in August 2024, fans initially feared that BKK (Budapest’s transport authority) would remove the unauthorised figure. Instead, BKK posted an enthusiastic, pun-filled Facebook post confirming: Yoda could stay. His appearance, incidentally, traces back to two very different faces: make-up artist Stuart Freeborn originally modelled Yoda partly on his own face and partly on that of Albert Einstein.
