Noah’s Ark — bronze, overgrown, ancient — with tiny, colorful porthole windows along its hull. Look closely enough at the windows and you can even make out a rainbow inside: a reference to the moment the rain stopped and the flood came to an end.

The loading ramp is lowered — the ark stands ready to release its animals. Almost fittingly, the statue sits right next to a playground, not far from the University of Veterinary Medicine.

One of Kolodko’s most poetic placements: unassuming at the edge of Bethlen Gábor tér, easy to miss unless you know exactly where to look. Installed on 28 August 2019 as part of the same official district trio as the Diver and the 14-Carat Race Car, it sits exactly halfway between the status quo synagogue on Bethlen Gábor tér and the main gate of the University of Veterinary Medicine.
